Back in touch on so many levels.

Well I got the Internet for myself this week and spent a couple hours on Thursday updating the blogs I missed but left out what I had been doing that week, so here it is.
So Monday was the start of a new semester, and what's a good way to start a new semester? How about with a threatening speech from your school director! It was both weird and off putting all at once. We (the foreign teachers) were told to meet in a room where we were supposed to have a meeting with our head Korean teacher for a talk. Instead our director Kayla, who's English is mediocre at best comes in and give us the "Jameson is in charge, and Hye-Jin above him. If you have any problems I will write you up and then fire you and you will never get a job in Korea again", speech. Might I mention she was also staring at me the whole time. We think it was sparked by the unrest on of the other foreign teachers felt about not getting the job since she is Korean-American and speaks good Korea, but she was hesitant when they asked her so they moved onto Jameson. Most of us laughed it off and didn't worry too much about it, while others got kind of offended. But in the end what is there really to do about it.
So the week progressed and on Thursday I got hooked back into the World Wide Web at home. I had had it at work of course but I try not to abuse the free time I get by blogging and such at work. For most of the week we all laid low and saved it for the weekend. Then on Friday Brian and I met with Blake, Junk and some other new friends of Blake's for drinks in Blake's area. I shouldn't really say Blake's friends though because only one was a friend and the others were friends of hers. They turned out to be alright to hang out with and we drank casually until 5 am before calling it a night.
The late nights always turn into late mornings but what can you do. Saturday was a bit of a mix and match day as to what everyone was going to do because we had all semi-committed to different things. Jameson had said he would go to a birthday party in Itaewon after a apartment warming for one of the new elementary teachers. Blake had committed to getting together with Junk in Apgujong after dinner with a girl he met a few weeks ago. Myself, I had said I would make an appearance in Apgujong before heading to Itaewon to meet a girl by the name of Anne I have been talking with for the last couple weeks (and by talking with I mean playing phone tag with). It was her birthday and her and her friends were going to be there. Luckily Brian was the least committed of us and agreed to go with me to Itaewon to meet up with Anne and her friends so that I wasn't a lone soldier.
As it turned out Jameson and some of the elementary teachers showed up at the same place so we had a solid group dynamic. I met up with Anne and her friends and we all had a good time. Eventually we had a chance to sit alone for a while and shoot the shit over a couple drinks. Turns out she is really awesome and is from Brampton and went to Laurier........small world. It was nice to be able to sit down with someone other than the guys and chat. Next thing we knew it was 5 am again and time to head out. We all went our separate way, Jameson and I shared a cab since Brian and Brady had left about an two hours before us. Again the late night turned into a late morning, but Jameson, Brian, Blake and I got together for dinner Sunday and then we all retired early to get some rest before the next week started.
We are looking forward to this coming week because Jameson has friends coming from China for a few days so there is bound to be some more wildness than we need.
Hope all is going well back home and that everyone is staying healthy or healing fast.....my mom told me there has been some mishaps as of late.
Love and miss you all.
